I need to sell an accordian, it is a GALOTTA 96 bass in black with bass voicings and all the bells etc it hasn't even been broken in yet. Helpful replies required as I already know that they only belong on bonfires as kindling for bagpipes etc(yawn yawn)Thanks

What country are you in?
I'm eventually going to buy an accordion that actually works, but I don't know that I'm ready to shell out the big bucks a good accordion will cost. Around how many big bugs do you want? Is trade for part or all of the price an option?

I can understand a willing seller. Willing buyers are a worry.

:-))

Oops. I meant big 'bucks', not 'bugs'. (Shhhh...maybe he'll take some grasshoppers and couple of hairy spiders.)

Button type squeezeboxes can be useful although limited in scale. Keyboard types can be used as boat anchors as well as for bonfires but not at the same time as they do no burn well while wet.

From his/her previous posts, I believe widowmaker is in Yorkshire, England, possibly the Leeds area, so possibly not ideal for you Jeri (unless... when you coming over here???).

Widowmaker, at most UK folk festivals there will be someone trading in second hand instruments. For example Pete Grassby will probably have a go at selling it for you.

Thanks everyone for the useful comments having seen previous threads, I thought I would come back to a column of inane comments about accordians. Just to put the record straight its a long time since I played accordian in a marching band in Belfast, and now play around West Yorks with "FRIGGA" and numerous other Irish bands. Ps well done Noreen it was Bradford actually but you still get 9 out of 10 .sorry for the delay I was away for a short while.
