I'm researching the history of Birtley Folk Club, with a particular reference to the repertoire of its singers over the years within a social and historical context. Can anyone help?

Talk to John Dixon who lives in Chester-le-Steet, he might be able to help. Sorry I have no phone number for John but the folks at the Davy Lamp Folk Club will have it. Ask Terri (who may also be able to help with your request)

You should really be talking to The Elliott's themselves ..... they are such lovely people.
Pete, unfortunately, died a few years ago but his widow (Pat) is very much alive as are his brother (John) and sister (Doreen). Send me a PM if you require contact addresses.

You can also get further info from www.folknortheast.com

I was a regular at the Birtley Folk Club from 1966 until I moved to Nottingham in 1978. I still attend whenever I am back home and still see family members quite regularly.
P.M me with any particular requsts that I can help you with.

Not 'Oops' at all Guest. If you read the post thoroughly you would see that my comments were made in 2003 when Pat was very much alive.
