It is with great regret that I have to announce that the man whom many would regard as the foremost exponent of the Celtic Guitar has emigrated to Canada, to Toronto.

I know I mentioned this as an aside on a previous thread, but I think it is worthy of further attention.

Scotland's loss is Canada's gain.

Having seen Tony live at Celtic Connections I have to agree.

Why would he want to leave a wonderful place like Scotland???

I heard his S.O. is Canadian. There are places in Canada which resemble his homeland in some respects, Cape Breton, Bruce Peninsula, various and sundry pubs...

Yes, Denise Moore, his SO is from Canada. I think she's from Ontario, but she lived in Halifax at the time they met.

It was SO cute, watching them those first few months.
