I can remember about the song is this piece of a line. I know it is not much to go off, but I believe it is in the American Pie film and has a sort of new age rock/punk feel to it.

Well, I don't think it's folk, so you wouldn't find it here. You'll find the lyrics here (click). Next time, try using Google. Put a distinctive phrase from the song in quotes in the search box.
