I've just spent the evening being entertained by Angelo Debarre and his band who, prior to tonight, I knew little or nothing of.
It turns out that Mr. Debarre ranks alongside Bireli Lagrene and Stockelo Rosenberg in the guitar genius stakes and Chris Carrick (violin) was in danger of upstaging the main man with his Grapelli-like virtuosity.
This quartet is currently touring the UK, details here, and I would urge any gypsy-jazz fans to go and see them.
In fact I would urge any fans of virtuosity to go and see them, jazz or otherwise.

They sound great. A few gigs in December around the UK, so I thought I'd refresh it before it vanished.
