Got a good start on this, and need to pick those clever Mudcat brains for some more inspired verses...think Julio and Willie, and go to it!

"To All The Girls I've Loved Before"

To all the girls I've loved before
Who travelled in and out my door
I'm glad you came along, I dedicate this schlong
To all the girls I've loved before

To all the girls that I led on
I had some fun, then I was gone
I did the deed and left, without me they're bereft
They feel so empty when I'm gone

The winds of change keep blowing on
And every time I try to stay
Those winds of change keep blowing on
And they just carry me away

To all the girls that I seduced
I took them out, I got them juiced
They never had a chance, I got into their pants
To all the girls I've loved before

And so on...it really isn't hard to satirize this song. In fact, the bridge was so cool I just left it as it was...it can't really be improved upon, in my opinion.

I like to sing it sounding exactly like Julio, with that sincere and tender vibrato he does. Remember Steve Dallas singing Julio in the shower? Stirring stuff, baby! Ay! Mi amor! Mi Corazon!

Amos, I'm counting on you!

Try to be sensitive.

LH,

My apologies but I can't contribute just now, being otherwise engaged. Sorry, and good luck.

Sorry, LH, but I just can't do parodies of songs that I hate. I generally do like Willie, but that particular song gives me the shits.

To all the girls that I knocked up
Who think that I should be locked up
You'll never forget me, I left a growing memory
To all the girls that I knocked up

"Een Lorve", by Australian songwriters Alan Caswell & Doug Ashdown is a brilliant send-up of Julio's boasting.
I recorded an edited version in a medley, and can't recall where you'd find the original

They did a parody of TAtGILB on Prairie Home Companion some years ago that I really enjoyed; here's the verse I can remember:

To all the cats I've loved before
Who wanted to go out my door
Then wanted to come in, then wanted to go out,
Then wanted to come in again...

Cheers,

YY

Ah. Have been out to see "Master and Commander" (again). Well, thank you, kind sirs, that is at least a start... :-)
