Thanks to someone mentioning it on the Mudcat I have purchased this excellent CD it's well worth a listen and as remarked before the Jmaes Taylor Alison Krause duet is a stunner.

I've got it too-- as an introduction to the Louvin Bros it's not bad, but I( prefer the originals. Even the Emmy Lou Harris duet is not as good as Ira and Charlie. IMNSHO

There was a great NPR feature on "All Things Considered" about a week ago concerning the new Louvin Brothers tribute album project. The producer admitted that he was unable to resist the temptation to chime in with a third harmony part on a couple of the duets.

For those who aren't familiar: NPR is National Public Radio in the US, and "ATC" is their daily evenings news program. You can go to

to listen to this and other stories. Just do an on-site search for "Louvin Brothers." I'm not sure how far back they maintain their archives, but I'm sure they hold onto stories for at least a month if not longer.

I've heard and noticed the third part. It makes it even better. Improves on the original.
