A friend has this fragment on a recording of Jack Hardy from 1969. The song was not necessarily written by him. Tune is reminiscent of Phil Ochs, in the "Changes" vein. Does it ring any bells?

Can anyone identify/supply any info about a song that includes these lyrics?:

You have lost your smile but it's not far away
> For you just a while seems like ever and a day
> But now you're not alone
> And I am here by your side
> Goin' home
> And it's now in your mind
> Whisper low

Thanks much--

MJC
