This is just to advise that Tim Laycock and the New Scorpion Band are on at the Lowther Pavilion, Lytham St Annes, Lancashire on Sunday 21st December, as part of their Christmas tour. I know there are quite a lot of Mudcatters aound this area, so perhaps this might be of interest to you. It's quite rare for them to come this far north and well worth catching them. Show starts 7.30pm.

It's a bit difficult to get tickets. You can't book them from through the Tourist Information Office (01253 725610) or the box-office (01253 735211) - you have to go to the cafe and ask for Robert or Roger! We went there on Saturday lunch time to get ours. Looking forward to Sunday night very much!

I understand it's a reasonable sized venue, so should be okay to turn up on the night - pity about the ticketing arrangements - I rang the TIC to try and get seven tickets and was advised I could send a cheque and a SAE, but with the Christmas post, decided wasn't worth the risk - I'll pay on the door! Perhaps some feedback to the venue would be worthwhile! Good night guaranteed though - I saw the show last Wednesday, in Wells in Somerset - superb!!!

Discovered yesterday that the Booking Office didn't take bookings....odd! I hope this hasn't put too many people off. When I called at the Cafe to get tickets there seemed to be a lot left. So unless there's a late rush, there should be no problem with buying on the night. If there is, you didn't read it here.

Good show - shame about the small audience. The first half was a little stiff but it warmed up in the second. However, as that was the last show of the tour, there's not a lot of point in going on about it. If you missed it, be sorry.

Tim Laycock? And it was stiff? Uh-huh......

Well, I'd certainly hope so.
