Subject: RE: Trevor Carter lyrics From: Mr Red Date: 16 Dec 03 - 07:00 PM I tried to learn them.. Give me the Christmas break and I might find them. No I never managed. You do need a lot of motivation. I was given both his tapes for review. He has a lot of incisive songs but some just rise above the clutter and hit you. I think Pete Coes delivery of this is so - er - well fits his views on these things - he sings it from the heart. One immortal line about the PR man turning Michael Howard down flat. Where is Old Nick now we need him? (working for Tony?) |

Subject: RE: Trevor Carter lyrics From: Jim Dixon Date: 18 Dec 03 - 09:47 AM Contact information about Trevor Carter can be found at Guestlist – Folk Performers' Directory: His web site has no lyrics, but it shows that THE PR MAN FROM HELL is on his first album, "Come to the Edge", and TOWER OF BABEL is on his second album, "The PR Man's Dozen". It also says that THE PR MAN FROM HELL is recorded by Pete Coe on his album "Long Company". |

Subject: RE: Trevor Carter lyrics From: Jim Dixon Date: 18 Dec 03 - 07:00 PM I didn't mean to imply that you should transcribe from the album. I just know from experience that the more information you post about a song, or the performer, the more likely someone will respond with the lyrics. I've seen it happen over and over again. |

Subject: RE: Trevor Carter lyrics From: GUEST,Trevor Carter Date: 31 Aug 04 - 10:59 AM I've just found this correxpondence - six months plus old - but I'm no surfer. If anyone phones me (or requests via my new website, which is www.edgemusic.org, I will send lyrics. For Tower of Babel they are actually on the CD insert (a crafty way of getting you to buy one). Pete Coe has now recorded it on his new CD which is great. He sings it better than I do, though he has made a few word changes (the folk process), so there are now two versions available. Also this message is really just a crafty way of telling you that I have another CD out - "nothing that can't be memded". |
