According to a surprise announcement, the Wednesday Singaround at the Merchant in Rugby is no longer. However on the same date, the third Wednesday of every month starting on the 21st of January will be Folk at the Raglan, Dunchurch Road Rugby(town end opposite the Rugby school close) This will be run by myself and Alan Curtis, as a singaround with Singers, musicians and audience welcome. We hope you can come, and make our first night a good one

                               Regards Gilly

ps   bring lots of friends :-)

I wish I could be with you, but I left the Rugby area 6 years ago.
The Raglan Arms used to be my regular haunt as it had the finest pint of Pedigree anywhere.
I now live in Derby, but if I'm anywhere close on the 3rd Wed. I shall certainly drop in.

Success and Hapiness.

Dave.

I too used to live there in the mid- and late Seventies. I remember the Raglan, but the Woolpack and the Star were my regular haunts, with the former hosting a folk club (on Sundays, I believe). Happy days with Mick McTiernen, Dave Flindall, Dave Bennett and Rod Felton.
But much berr has flowed under the belt since then...In Bucks now, but will bear you in mind. Do let us know how the new singaround progresses.
Best wishes
George

Thanks for the good wishes,
Just think you could make it a reunion party, Alan Curtis ran the folk club at the woolpack, :-)
