The Daily Telegraph this Saturday 20/12/03 are offering 2 CDs £12.99 incl P&P. One is a compilation of historic recordings from 1908 onwards, with several from the 1950s. The other is called English Originals, and has tracks from most modern greats. Simpson,Carthy Eliza & Martin,Tabor,swarbrick,Anne Briggs, etc etc. Phone number for those interested can be supplied if you PM me. I'm not on a commission either!

English Orignals is a superb collection, released by Topic and available from Amazon and I have also seen it in MVC. I'm not sure what the other would be, did Topic do a Voice of the People sampler?

Do'h, recordings from 1908 is of course Hidden English. The link has the track list and some sounds clips.

why not just post the phone number here, so that guests can see it?
