Subject: need hard to find Irish CDs? From: InOBU Date: 22 Dec 03 - 05:13 AM Just back from Dingle... and introducing my pal Maz to Mudcat and vice versa... Maz has the famous record shop in Dingle, and if you use the search term dinglerecordshop it will take you to Maz's home page (any computer wiz's feel free to blue clicky here!) Well, Maz not only sells the standards, but the local tallant you don't find many places, and if you email her for advice on who is hot in the west of Ireland, I am sure she will steer you right! You should also ask about her CDs, she has a few really good ones... SO, there you are... Cheers, Larry |

Subject: RE: need hard to find Irish CDs? From: greg stephens Date: 22 Dec 03 - 05:20 AM Larry: good news the shop is still going. It's a while since i've been to dear old Dingle. I do believe there are some Boat Band CDs there on sale or return, I must get over there soon and see if there is a stack of money waiting for me! |

Subject: RE: need hard to find Irish CDs? From: Peter K (Fionn) Date: 22 Dec 03 - 06:29 AM Larry, I'd hoped to rendezvous with you somewhere along the way, on one island or the other, but had a heart attack at the beginning of December which wiped out many plans, though not me. Anyway, just to show what kind of a decent spud I am, here's your clicky: Dingle Record Shop, as recommended by Larry (InOBU), no less. |

Subject: RE: need hard to find Irish CDs? From: InOBU Date: 22 Dec 03 - 08:40 AM FIONN! Jeeze loooouuuueeeeeze, boy. I hope you are feeling better, and not to sound like a preacher... take it easy man! As hard as it is in Ireland, you can now find things like greek salads to make the healthy life bearable. Are ya near Dublin? The film center on Ustase Street makes a wicked salad! Thanks for the link, and I will likly be back soon, so keep well!!! Cheers Larry |

Subject: RE: need hard to find Irish CDs? From: Peter K (Fionn) Date: 22 Dec 03 - 05:47 PM Big Tim, I'd nearly lost track of you, but I still need that signed copy of your book, so after Christmas I'll get a cheque off to your publishers. (Another cheque - I've bought a few things off their interesting list.) And yes, I'm hanging in, Larry. In fact I'd be just perfect if it wasn't for all the pills.... Oh, and is there really an Ustase street in Dublin? I'm not long back from Croatia where the word is associated with a genocidal regime that ran the place in WW2. |

The trip was personaly very important, going to Castle Otway's ruins, maybe a song in it... fishing with friends last friday, off dingle, five porposes jumping off the bow wake, walking up familier old mountains with dear old friends... Chears, Larry |
