Subject: RE: Chord Req: Anything by James Keelaghan From: GUEST,Jeremiah McCaw Date: 31 Dec 03 - 03:55 PM Kellaghan's a sneaky bugger; must be why I like him so much. The chord pattern for "Fires of Calais" is your basic 'shoo-wap' turnaround; e.g: G /Em /C /D but of course in DADGAD tuning, it voices quite different. Keelaghan is a master of deceptive simplicity. |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Anything by James Keelaghan From: Clinton Hammond Date: 31 Dec 03 - 04:03 PM Never really found much all that deceptive about him... fairly straigh forward... He once patted me on the knee in a very patronizing manner when, while having a pint with him, I thanked him for helping do wonderful things for my playing, learning from his CDs... The chrods as I recall 'em for Fires, in DADGAD were D... F#m... G... A... Mind you it's been a long time since I played it... |
Subject: RE: Chord Req: Anything by James Keelaghan From: Rich from Milwaukee Date: 31 Dec 03 - 06:55 PM I've worked out the chords to "Cold Missouri Shore" in standard tuning. I play it with Capo V in C (G fingering). The only real surprise in there is the C/F (G/C) chord at the end of the chorus. RfM |
