Subject: Scottish tune website ? From: Klavdivs Date: 03 Jan 04 - 06:51 AM I usually use the American Tunefinder site to get the dots for celtic (Irish)tunes, but it is less than comprehensive for Scottish tunes. Can anyone recommend somewhere for this ? |
Subject: RE: Scottish tune website ? From: smallpiper Date: 03 Jan 04 - 07:04 AM The two that I use are: www.viperpiper.hypermart.net/search.html www.lochaber.tullochgorm.com/~jc/music/abc/findtune.html The viper piper site has links to other sites that have scottish music on them. |

Subject: RE: Scottish tune website ? From: Bearheart Date: 05 Jan 04 - 12:42 PM A friend just recommended this to me: The best collection on the web right now for "current" settings of session tunes is Henrik Norbeck's collection, But it is ABC so I haven't really tried to use it yet. But it has LOTS of tunes. |
Subject: RE: Scottish tune website ? From: Helen Date: 05 Jan 04 - 10:08 PM One of my favourite tune sites on the web is The Contemplator Look for Barry Taylor's Tunebook section and then you can use the drop-down menu to choose the Scottish tunes. Barry's arrangements can be spine-tinglingly (Hmm! Just invented a new word, perhaps?) beautiful. Helen |
