The lyrics below were submitted to GEST Songs Of Newfoundland And Labrador for the song, Son Of Labrador. They seem incomplete. Can anyone verify the lyrics, author, title, etc.?

The same lyrics can be found here, with some misspellings. (But maybe you knew that.)

That page contains an email address. You might try asking them.

I was unable to find any information about any song with that title.

Yep, knew that, Jim. It appears the submitter got it from there. And yes, I tried your suggestion, but the e-mail address on the page doesn't work. I need someone who knows the song and perhaps has a copy to transcribe. Thanks for your input.

The HTML page's author got back to me. He and his wife are on winter holiday in Texas, headed for Mexico, and will be home in April. They have the CD along so we will try and copy down all the lyrics and send them to me. It is probably his most favorite song. He heard it in a shop in Labrador but they did not have it so he started to hunt for it and finally found a copy and purchased it. He has a copy along, the original is at home. He says, if he can't get what I want now, he will help me out when he gets home.

Anybody else? :-)

It is Sons Of Labrador, not Son Of Labrador. :-)
