I wonder whether some of the comments refer to Nollaig's sister Áine, who lives in or has lived in California. I saw Nollaig performing in at a couple of events in Belfast and in Derry Northern Ireland not so long before things shut down due to the pandemic. Now that venues are opening up again, here is a video of Nollaig aka Nodlaig Brolly playing and singing in Co Derry this year, 2022.

I used to watch her in San Diego help lug her harp to the bar and had the pleasure to record a good number of her songs for her back then. She has the most amazing voice as well as being talented on the harp and tin whistle. I miss hearing her sing live but still have the recordings.

Anyone know where she plays nowadays?

I've been trying to buy Under a Pale Moon since hearing her on the Gerry Anderson show. As well as Maid of Culmore, "Let me be" is a beautiful song. What a voice !!!

She recently recorded a CD with Irish fiddler, Brendan Hendry and guitarist Paul McSherry called Stringtones - she plays harp and sings a couple of songs on it too. Lovely stuff.

I first heard and met this amazing young lady in an Irish pub in San Diego, California. She would play her harp and mesmerize the audience with her angelic voice! I made sure I got an autographed copy of Under A Pale Moon from her back then, and I still have it! I loved her voice then and now. Dia duit Nollaig

I saw her awhile back on telly and liked her enough to start this thread back in September: Singer on BBC2 programme?

I think she has a great voice, and it's always nice to see a harper in the spotlight.

Seamus, this tells you. From a listing in CD Baby:

Nollaig Brolly comes from Dungiven, in the Northwestern part of Ireland where she grew up under the influence of her famous singing duo parents Anne and Francie Brolly. She toured Ireland and the United States with her parents, performing on stages at age 11. Classically trained, Nollaig played lead flute in the Irish Youth Orchestra and achieved distinction in the 8th grade winning the Ulster College of Music Wind award in 1996. She studied piano for 12 years and then taught herself to play harp. Nollaig was a featured soloist in the San Diego Symphony's Winter Pop Concert Celtic Celebrations. She recently released a new CD "Under a Pale Moon".

Has anyone heard this young woman sing. What a voice, I heard her recently on the Gerry Anderson show singing "The Maid of Culmore". I would love to get her first album "under a Pale Moon".
