Here is Sandy Andina's website but I can't find the phrase "because we can" anywhere on it. It does give lyrics for several songs, though.

2.        The accident was not my fault. So said the police report.

Note: the "radio edit" (a G-rated version I perform in some uptight venues, which has yet to be formally released!) subsitutes:
"A tired weary lass" for "for to rest my weary ass;"
"gall" for "balls;" "do ya" for "screw ya;"
and "and sing our little song" for "everybody who's been schlonged."
You never know whom you might unnecessarily offend (as opposed to those people whom you definitely NEED to offend).

Also, the recorded versions have "boycott all the bastards" instead of "bozos;" I have taken to performing both the adult and adulterated versions with "bozos" just because it sounds funnier.

I'm always amazed at the response this song gets when Sandy and I perform it. There's a lot more anger and frustration out there than people know about.
