Does anyone know the Lyrics of a song which goes

Death oh death see what the Lord hath done (repeat)
Yes I know, yes I know my time ain't long.Etc

I have a feeling it was on a Blues sampler called "I asked for water but she gave me gasoline" posssibly by Brett Marvin & the Thunderbolts.
Cheers

Les

It's by Charley Patton and is on the Digitrad. ATB from the fB.

Many versions of this old song. The Patton version is Oh Death (3) in the DT.
A thread with other versions is 12846: Conversation with Death

Clicking on the above link will take you to other threads.

The Delta Big Four has a great version of it - late thirties I think. As far as I remember the lyrics are just the same as the CP version.
