DANG MY ROWDY SOUL was a bad guess. It turns out it only has that one phrase "my rowdy soul" in common with the song we are seeking. I posted the lyrics in a new thread here.

Cliff Carlisle recorded a song called DANG MY ROWDY SOUL in 1933, but I have been unable to find any lyrics. (On the other side was GOIN' DOWN THE ROAD FEELIN' BAD.)

My father taught me the song below. I would like to know if there are additional lyrics. The song title is "Seven Dollar Game', referring to a poker game.

Johnny what did you do with your little yellow watch
Johnny what did you do with the chain
What did you do with that little golden fob
You won in that seven dollar game?

Johnny where you been gone so long
Johnny where you been gone so long
I've been in the pen and I'm going back again
Goddamn my rowdy soul

You used to make your living with a wagon and a team
I used to make my living just the same
Now I make my living with an old deck of cards
I won in that seven dollar game
