Newt1,

I think you will find the song you want in the DT. Just CLICK HERE to find it.

I searched in the upper right hand corner of this page. I type in [good and drunk] as a key phrase. You can do this too if you try.

By the way Newt1, keep an eye on Congress for us. They could easily get out of control this fall.

Thanks,

Roger in Baltimore

SHANTY
As recorded by Jonathan Edwards on "Jonathan Edwards" (1971)

1. Gonna sit down in the kitchen and fix me something good to eat,
And make my head a little high, make the whole day complete.

CHORUS: 'Cause we're gonna lay around the shanty, Mama, and put a good buzz on.

2. Well, pass it to me, baby. Well, pass it to me slow.
Take time out to smile a little before I let it go. CHORUS

3. There ain't nothin' to do and there's always room for more.
Fill it, light it, shut up, and close the door. CHORUS

4. We're gonna sit around the kitchen and fix us something good to eat,
And make ourselves a little high, make the whole day complete. CHORUS

Well, ev'ry night and day if I can help it,
We're gonna lay around the shanty, Mama, and put a good buzz on.

I don't sing this anymore 'cause I don't smoke anymore, but some things have a permanent registry in whatever brains I have left. TK

I neglected to mention that the song was recorded by Jonathan Edwards and I assume he wrote it. TK
