as an aside it is a true story...a serbian man and a muslim woman loved each other very much and were together for several years...they tried to escape to Bulgaria but as they were crossing a bridge, he was shot and killed by a sniper...she wrapped her arms around him as he died...and then she was killed...

I don't know about an Eric Bogle one, but didn't Mundy/Turner do a song about this? It's called 'Sarajevo Waltz' and it's on their album 'High Life'
