"The International Songwriting Competition has named the winners and "Riley Wants His Life Back" is number one in the Blues category!"

Written by Rick Fines. Now that's one hot Canadian!

Couldnt happen to a nicer guy, a damn fine songwriter and ditto as an entertainer.
Congrats, Rick.
Cheers, Glen

Oh, I didn't start this thread thinking that Rick reads this (thought he may), but because it's something that blues lovers would want to know. Rick is one of the best blues guys, and cares so much that blues carries on to the next generations. He does the gigs, but he also takes blues into the schools. He plays folk festivals and people listen up. His songwriting really reaches people - it feels familiar like he's telling stories you've lived yourself - I think that this award must be very encouraging for him.

I meant to say "though he may", not "thought". Where's that morning coffee...?
