Subject: Tech: 404 From: jaze Date: 02 Feb 04 - 08:47 PM What is this freaking 404 "not found" that keeps invading every thread I open? Is there a way to get rid of it? |

Subject: RE: Tech: 404 From: Joe Offer Date: 03 Feb 04 - 02:19 AM This Google Search will take you to a world of information, including this site which is the best I've seen on the subject. You are not alone, if you find 404 errors frustrating. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: Tech: 404 From: Matthew Edwards Date: 03 Feb 04 - 05:21 AM Ah Dave, good to see you here this morning:- I was afraid you'd become "404 Not Found" yourself after reading the death notice in today's Guardian for one David Bryant, "bon viveur... [who] loved life, books, poetry, wine, women, music and art" and whose chosen epitaph is The Last Haiku: Oh no I can't be old already I was just about to... Seems like your namesake was an interesting and life-loving character, but I'm glad nevertheless to see you're still with us! |

Subject: RE: Tech: 404 From: Dave Bryant Date: 03 Feb 04 - 07:51 AM If I'd kicked the bucket, about the only mention would have probably been in Folk London (as an ex-editor) and of course possibly on this site. Anyway you have to be careful about believing obituries in national papers - especially after Dave Swarbrick's one. |
