Subject: RE: BS good name for hamster From: Ellenpoly Date: 27 Aug 04 - 11:55 AM At one time, my brother had 350 hamsters living in an elaborate cage-complex up in the third floor of our house. Then they started to disappear. It wasn't until I was older that my mother told me he had been killing and feeding them to the snapping turtle living in our basement (don't ask, it was a strange childhood). The moral of this story is, don't name your hamsters- There might well be a snapping turtle in your basement waiting for it's lunch. ..xx..e |
Subject: RE: BS good name for hamster From: GUEST,Corridus Date: 27 Aug 04 - 11:40 AM It depends on the individual hamster's character and gender. Male hamsters often like a name that has herioc qualities or conveys an innate sense of dignity. Female hamsters like a name that implies grace, beauty, delicacy or cuteness. Observe your hamster carefully for a few days, and the right name will come to you. Corridus |

Subject: RE: BS good name for hamster From: SueB Date: 10 Feb 04 - 01:19 AM If I was getting a hamster, which I'm not, I'd think about calling it Frodo, or Samwise (Hamwise, maybe?) or Viggo, or Gimli. If it was a very feminine and beautiful hamster, I might call it Arwen if it were dark, or Eowyn if it was fair, or Galadriel if it seemed to be bathed in a pure golden light. I suppose it it were playful and silly I might also consider Merry or Pippin. If it smells bad, call it Orc, or Uruk-hai - if it appears to be afflicted ith multiple personalities, you can call it it Smeagol-Gollum - if it tries to hypnotize you with its beady red eye, you could call it Sauron, or Mordor. |
