For UK Home Service fan catters:

Daphne Oxenford is guesting on tonight's ITV episode of "The Royal". IIRC I used to listen to hear her telling the stories on "Listen with mother".

The co-guest, as her husband, is Tenniel Evans, whom I recall as Taffy in the Navy Lark...

Kitty

Gosh Kitty, surely you're not that old? It doesn't show!

G'day John,

Of course she's not ... all those BBC radio comedy have been circulating on the www, as MP3s ... until the Beeb cracked down on them last year!

Regard(les)s,

Bob Bolton

Listen with Mother a comedy? Daphne Oxenford went on to have another day in the sun, as one of the readers on "What the papers say" (in the days when it went out on Granada).

Nice to be reminded of the Listen with mother days.
BTW Bernard Wrigley was in the Christmas edition of the Royal and Mick Peat was in Dalziel and Pascoe a few weeks ago. Folkie spotting is more interesting than the programmes!

I use to like spotting Capstick in the police car in Last of the Summer Wine. Mike Elliott pops up sometimes too.

Was it Patricia Driscoll that hosted Watch with Mother? I was in love with her when I was five. Still am.
