Good to hear you all had a great time on Thursday (without me - sniff sniff).

It's lovely and warm (bloody hot actually) here. Been having breakfast out on the deck - listening to the parrots in the trees, sipping cold drinks etc etc. Not rubbing it in of course!

Good luck for Sunday, George. Hope you are feeling much better by then - and don't let the short hairy one hijack your songs.

Love from us in Oz

Lavender oil baths out of the question, insufficient quantity to hand. Had to make do with asses milk.
It WAS milk, wasn't it, dearest?

Breezy

Say hello to Chris for me. I was talking about him with Steve Benbow not that long ago (well not long before we moved, but you know what I mean).

Usual form Ref:

El Greco outstanding as usual, Fleggie played a blinder, but great contributions all round. Breezy got off scott free as the marauding hoardes of Warrior Women decided to prop up the downstairs bar all night insteade of demanding a sacrifice.

So usual homely mayhem at St Stephens tonight.

Hope everyone had a great night, I'm sure you all did!

Sorry I didn't make it George, horrid journey home from Halifax. Only the West Yorks one, but would probably have got home quicker from Nova Scotia!

Breezy

Is Chris Flegg the same one who was at Imperial late 60s/early 70s and played hot-club style guitar amongst other things? (author of The Phantom Fondler). If so I'd be interested to know.

G'Day George & you too Breezy, as an old director friend of mine used to say, Merde! (I think that's how it's spelled.) I hope you have a great gig. Looking forward to seeing you both in April. All the best. Cheers, Dan

Flag? What the f&$**#k does Breezy want with a Greek flag?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the occasional lapses into lucidity getting more infrequent?

over my dead body

I'm in fighting mood these days

While I'm on El G, 'the pen', old mate, would you mind amending the W W S A F-S C web page and substitute Paul Downes for the Amamzing Mr S who is scheduled for life saving surgery and will be convalescing.

and change venues to the Duke of M for all after Mike S

And Chris Flegg is coming tonight too and will be doing a floor spot, be ready to give him a standing ovation after his guitar solo - should he play one.

Anyone got a Greek Fleg I mean flag

sacrificing the short hairy one
Would that be a Welsh short hairy one?
You can leave Mary H. out of this!!!!

We were wondering about coming along tonight. If we do that'll be one more ferocious warrior woman. Could be a bundle of fun....

Where is Breezy by the way - he's missed some obvious hijack bait lateley.

One of? There's more? Are going to be hoards of ferocious warrior women at this gig tonight? I might have to think about this again. I've heard it can get pretty wild up in Redbourn on a Thursday. I worry for El Greco, he's got a busy weekend ahead.

I suppose if things start cutting rough we could try pacifying the hoard by sacrificing the short hairy one. Bit of a long shot but it might just work.

Redbourn doesn't have an 'e' on the end

It's named after a reedy stream that flows from springs in Hempstead Lane and now appears as the 'Moor' opposite Church End

The remains of an ancient settlement was located near the springs and the earthworks can still be seen around the Aubreys Hotel just past the M1 bridge

One of the ferocious warrior woman was my Mum

El Greko, aka George The Fat Greek Papavgeris will be scaring up the good folks at the Redbourne Folk Club, The Cricketers, East Common, Redbourne, Herts AL3 7ND, UK, from 8:30pm on Thursday 12th February.

Come and be disgusted at the gall of the guy.

Ripe tomatoes this time, please, the fresh ones hurt...
