Subject: RE: Music in Baltimore Feb 25&26 From: Roger in Baltimore Date: 13 Feb 04 - 02:03 PM Barry, Your place or mine? We have enough 'catters' in Baltimore to make our own music. But I will check for public performances. I assume you are driving down so transportation isn't a problem. The public transportation in Baltimore is pretty weak. Roger in BALTIMORE!!! |

Subject: RE: Music in Baltimore Feb 25&26 From: Roger in Baltimore Date: 13 Feb 04 - 02:31 PM Barry, This is Mary Cliff's list for those nights. She's the local Folk Goddess with a weekly 4 hour show on Public Radio. If it isn't on here, it probably isn't happening. By the way, I wasn't kidding about getting together. We may not be able to do it at my house 'cause Marge would make me do a week's worth of cleaning first, but we may be able to do it somewhere. If I recall, the sea chanters get together in suburban DC on Wednesday nights at the Royal Pub or something. Subject: RE: Music in Baltimore Feb 25&26 From: Barry Finn Date: 13 Feb 04 - 07:13 PM Hi Roger Thanks for all the info. I won't be driving, they've already taken care of all the flight arrangements & no car rental because I'll be attending a conference & the interview will be at the Holiday Inn right at the BWI airport, where they've booked me a room. I don't really know the schedule yet so it's sort of a fly by the seat of my pants deal. I figured if there's something going on at least I can try to work it out. Hate to be down your way & miss all of the talent. A sea music session at the Royal Mile Pub if it's on Wed eve would be heaven, even worth a nights car rental. Say hi to Marge Thanks Barry |

Subject: RE: Music in Baltimore Feb 25&26 From: Charley Noble Date: 22 Feb 04 - 11:49 AM Roger- Best wishes from Stevens Bunker and the China Sea Marine Trading Co, gang. We've just helped them restablish a storefront for their used nautical goods in Portland's Old Port. I'll be hanging out in Baltimore myself in September for a week. Be nice to get together with some sea music folks, see if we could stir up some old waterfront ghosts. Have fun, Barry! Cheerily, Charley Noble |
