Subject: Mississippi Queen...? From: GUEST,Mark A. Date: 15 Feb 04 - 02:05 PM I wonder if anyone here can help me out. I was listening to a bluegrass radio program this morning in my car, and I heard a great song, but I didn't get to hear who was performing it. All I can remember of the lyrics is that the chorus contained the words "Mississippi Queen .... A Junkyard Dream." Does anyone out there know this? Thanks! |
Subject: RE: Mississippi Queen...? From: Gern Date: 15 Feb 04 - 02:42 PM I believe I recall a group called Boone Creek doing a tune like that, and I think the name was in fact "Mississippi Queen." Not to be confused with the 70s summertime rocker by Mountain. Boone Creek was a short lasting group from Kentucky that included Ricky Skaggs and Terry Baucom. |
