Rather well, actually. It is a good interperetation of the melody, Perhaps in another few decades of practice I will be able to make it sound good. I showed the chords to my father, who played it perfectly, so I know it is playable, even if not by me. Thanks again,
Carl Tappan

Yup... James, Garnet and I think Stephen Fearing are the folks I recall seeing play 'em... They've got an interesting sound to say the least... I wouldn't mind laying hands on one just to give it a try....

So... how are the chords working out for ya?

aah, the newbishness shines through! I believe I actually saw Garnet Rogers play one of those at a concert a month or two ago. Then again, it might sound not too bad on the guild, either.

When I say "Octive 12 string electric thingy" I mean a HAMMERTONE Madoguitar like

Great, thanks. Maybe I'll break out the guild and give the octave 12 string electric thing a shot. Or maybe not :).

Sing My Heart Home
Capo 5th
(To try to recapture that octive electric 12 string thingy sound...)

(Bm) Dawn is (G) break(D)ing
(A)Time for (Em)lea(G)ving
(Bm)Taxis (*Bm?)are (D)waiting
(Em)Tents coming (A)down
(G)Off in a (D)corner
(A)A band is still (Em)play(G)ing
(G)One song be(D)fore they (A)leave town

(G)(D)Sing out (A)
(G)(D) Sister (A)
(Em)Let your song ring for (G)ev(D)er
And (Em) sing my (A)heart (D) home

Out on the tarmac
Jet engine's whining
I'm in seat 4A
I'm going home
Deep down inside me
The music still echoes
I hear it as we start to roll

Sing out Brother
Let your song ring for ever
And sing my heart home

Should my voice falter
Should spirit fail me
Should I find myself Unable to rise
Give me an anthem
That I can take with me
To sing while I'm closing my eyes

I told ya it was wonky!

(*Bm???) 004430

Oooooh... I had this one when that CD first came into my hands... but it was a goofy tricky sorta interpretation... and it wasn't very playable, so it soon fell by the way side...

But with this to spur me on, I'll have a 2nd look at it later tonight, and see what I come up with....

If anyone has chords/advice for playing for this song they wouldn't mind sharing, I would appreciate it. I have an Idea of how to play it, but a rough one at that. Thanks a bunch.
Best Regards,
Carl Tappan
