The dayjob demands that I whould be in Houston from the 22nd through to 25th March. Looks like the nights 22 to 24 March will be available (though one of them might be reserved for a "team dinner" in time-honoured big-business fashion)

So - what are the chances of meeting up with any 'catters in the area? Or perhaps arranging a spot/gig at one of the cafes there?

And - any chance of renting/borrowing a guitar? A 12-string would be ideal, that's what I use normally, but a 6-string will do.

I havent been 'Sent' anywhere nice by the company since I left the Air Force - Unless you count self employed work that is. Have fun George. And George is worth at least a House concert if someone over there can swing it !!!

My sister lives in Houston (Texas, not Barnsley, that is!) - drop me a personal line and I'll give you her email address.
You can try asking her what's on in the area. She's no folkie, but, knowing her brother (here) is, recently emailed me to say she's a work colleague in her office that's 'into all that'.
The lady in question even has recordings by our own Maggie Boyle!
May be there's gold in them thar hills for ya! (Though Texas looked extremely FLAT in every direction when I was last there!).
