Get thee to WAMU immediately (before March 1) to settle forever the question, "What is 'gospel'?". What you will hear is much of what our band (The Good News-Goodtime Band) draws from for our weekly songleading at St. Paul's Episcopal Church's Saturday Night Service.

With the exception of the show's opener, everything heard on Feb. 15th's Dick Spottswood Show came from Goodbye, Babylon, the CD box set (with book, published by Dust-to-Digital in Atlanta). Special thanks to its producer Lance Ledbetter, for sharing the airwaves. It was a wonderful way to celebrate Eddie Dean's long article in Wednesday's Washington Post—and to share a few bragging rights too!

The show is ARCHIVED for the week, and the playlist is HERE, plus links to more info about the CD set.

Thank God for Total Recorder! :~)

~Susan

I'm corresponding now with the CDs producer, Lance Ledbetter. I've invited him to come to the Cat for help researching his next batch of treasures.

I've just got a Goodbye, Babylon anthology. Not inexpensive, but a great collection.

Thanks for the reminder. This goes on my Christmas wish list.

I also had not noticed this program before. I'm listening right now. It's just the kind of show I love.
