I am just so happy and amazed at the responses I received about my question re. Putnam County String Band. Really am in awe of your knowledge and response time.. thanks so much. You've help make one fat old lady happy.. Does anyone know a song by John Prine.. something aobut being stupid..?? Can;t remember much else. Thanks again this is a fabulous web site. Lillian

Hi, Lillian - have you been to the John Prine Shrine (click here)? I didn't find your "stupid" song right off, but maybe you can. Could it be "Illegal Smile"?? "Big Old Goofy World"???
