Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Peace Date: 20 Mar 04 - 12:02 PM Amos: that is the best backhand compliment I have ever read. Your love for Shatner shines through. I'm taking your name off the list. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Amos Date: 20 Mar 04 - 08:24 AM Shatner is a creampuff, a wannabe-has-been, a poster boy for bad toupees and Atkins, a loss and a failure as a human being. Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: jacqui.c Date: 20 Mar 04 - 06:09 AM Seat belts - I think it was a question of economics. The cardboard scenery and those wigs just bust the budget. I'm actually a great Star Trek fan - just couldn't cope with Shatner. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Ellenpoly Date: 20 Mar 04 - 05:45 AM William Shatner on Jonathan Ross last night. You ask a good question...it just shows the power of love, it radiates. Cheers Blackcatter, I've been wondering how to do itallics, but did it work? |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Blackcatter Date: 19 Mar 04 - 06:26 PM Hi all, Shilo - you can do italics by putting an 'i' within these thingies: < > So it's like this (without the spaces) < i > To "turn off" the italics just add one of these thingies / in the second set. Like this: < i > everyone < / i > And for the record - take me off the danged list: I am a huge fan of Shatner. |

Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Peace Date: 19 Mar 04 - 10:48 AM Hey, back off with the remarks about the Horrorable and Venereal Captain William Shatner, Icon to True Canadians and Appreciators of Excellent Drama and Stuff. If you can't see it, it isn't visible. Where the hell is Little Hawk? LH, they're showing their true colours now! |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: jacqui.c Date: 18 Mar 04 - 02:48 PM Damon - it does keep the nutters off the street and sticks them in folk sessions! I know there was no cruelty to animals in that Turbo 2000 but what about the rest of us? I'll second the Michael Jackson thing - I think his plastic surgeon needs locking up as well. Some people will do ANYTHING for money!!!!!! |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Damon Date: 18 Mar 04 - 02:44 PM Ta mate, the NYCFTTS sounds like a (mental)home from (mental)home to me, I'm off to find it. It better be classy though, I can only be terminally screwed in the finest surroundings! ;) Later |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: GUEST,MMario Date: 18 Mar 04 - 02:33 PM a bit of leg-pulling Damon - the NYCFTTS is the mudcat virtual "Neil Young Center for the Terminally Screwed" - and the other reference was to the "William Shatner School of Bad Acting" - both of which are featured in many threads on the forum. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Damon Date: 18 Mar 04 - 02:23 PM What is that? Is that, like, American or something? I'd love to read it though MMario...would I? |

Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Damon Date: 18 Mar 04 - 01:27 PM I meant to say hi to jacqui.c aswell just then, so hi. Like you say it's very addictive around here, I can't imagine there's a more diverse group of people anywhere on the web...and where else could LH et al spout on about James T Kirk without getting locked up? It keeps the nutters off the streets at least, a bit like a virtual care in the community programme! |

Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: GUEST,MMario Date: 18 Mar 04 - 11:26 AM odd that compassion ashould be mentioned in regard to dogs and shatner. bill reminds me of some of the more pitiful specimens of dogs at times - he has a few feeble tricks he learned in his (long past) youth that he repats hopelessly over and over in the hopes of gaining a few dregs of attention from his audience. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Peace Date: 18 Mar 04 - 11:21 AM Not you GUEST, or you GUEST, but GUEST. Work with me on this. Do not be intentionally thick. Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Chief Chaos Date: 18 Mar 04 - 10:39 AM I like cats but don't have any. My wife came with parrots upon our marriage. It's not because she's afraid for the parrots, quite the contrary, the parrots would torment and abuse the cats. I do have Corgies. One of them is very cat like in her mannerisms. Jacqui: what's the matter? Don't you like Shatner's Turbo 2000 hairpiece? No animals suffered during the production of that piece. Of course he makes us all suffer while he wares it (and I am a Shatner fan mind you). On a similar vein I thought I might start a class action lawsuit against Michael Jackson for mental cruelty for everytime he appears in public without the mask. Any takers? |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: jacqui.c Date: 18 Mar 04 - 05:55 AM Hi Damon Welcome to Mudcat. I've only been around for a few months but have developed an addiction to the site in no time flat. It's like having friends all around the world. Mind you, it gets a bit worrying with the likes of Little Hawk and his passion for Shatner. And he looks so normal in his photo! LH - how about going for a much better Canadian - the great Donald Sutherland - that man can actually act and doesn't submit little furry animals to the indignity of sitting on his head. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Blackcatter Date: 18 Mar 04 - 02:17 AM But many liberals love dogs too. For my interpretation it's a COMPASSION thing. To really like a cat, you have to have compassion. It's important fora really good relationship with a dog, as well, though dogs have such deep conditioning that if a person feeds it and gives it a comfortable place to sleep, the dog's pretty satisfied. With those 2 things a cat may acknowledge your existence, but they won't have any real connection because they desire more than food and a bed. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Damon Date: 17 Mar 04 - 11:27 PM Hello ChiefChaos, it's very true what you said about cats and people. Conservatives choose dogs almost every time, the world over. My mate has a cat, called Sebastien, who will just sit and stare at him through a candle flame for ages, it's quite eerie. But cats are very magical creatures.. |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: GUEST Date: 17 Mar 04 - 10:36 PM Brucie, you got me all confused. Were you talking to me, Guest, guest or Guest, the original Guest, guest? |
Subject: RE: BS: What I don't like about Mudcat From: Chief Chaos Date: 17 Mar 04 - 09:36 PM Welcome Damon! Cats are distinctly different! Someone postulated that to tell a conservative from a liberal throw a cat in the room. I asked around. All of my republican friends don't like cats. All of my democrat friends do. Odd thing. One of the conservatives told me it's because cats are very much their own person and they can't stand that the cat makes up its own mind. Is that a stereotype for conservatives? Come when you're called? Show us you love us with your donations? DOn't think just give us unconditional love and guard the congress and whitehouse from those heathen liberal cats? Went to a antebellum mansion over the weekend. The tour guide says the place might be haunted. I did my best to introduce myself to the cat population that lives there. |
