Subject: where do old threads go? From: Clean Supper Date: 08 Mar 04 - 10:24 AM Sometimes I post a thread and then don't see the internet for several days (can you imagine the bliss) and when I next look for replies, the thread is out of date. I have tried searching for it using the EXACT name I started it under, but it hasn't been found. I have, when necessary, found these threads by looking at the history of my own posts and going down the list. Is this the easiest way? |
Subject: RE: where do old threads go? From: Joe Offer Date: 08 Mar 04 - 11:19 AM Hi, C.S. - I think the easiest way to find threads is to use the Filter. Put an appropriate word in the box, and set the age back a bit. I've posted search pointers in the first message of the FAQ (click). We don't really have a utility that does a very good search by time - we haven't seen a need for it. -Joe Offer- |

Subject: RE: where do old threads go? From: michaelr Date: 08 Mar 04 - 12:23 PM Or go to "Old Advanced Forum Search" in the menu on top right, put your mudcat name in, and it will bring up every message you have posted. My old threads go to the Salvation Army store. Cheers, Michael |

Subject: RE: where do old threads go? From: GUEST,.gargoyle Date: 08 Mar 04 - 10:41 PM Have you made an MC donation lately?
Are you "old friends" with the "inside clique" which is now OUTSIDE.....and therefore..... so fall your suspect-postings?
Have you used any psychotics....or anti-drepresents in the past two weeks....causing the days to meld into months?
Sincerely, |
Subject: RE: where do old threads go? From: Blackcatter Date: 09 Mar 04 - 12:00 AM Michaelr - that's where I BUY my old threads. I haven't bought a new article of clothing (excepting underwear, socks, shoes and folk-fest t-shirts) for 20 years. Everyone gives away perfectly good stuff all the time. |
Subject: RE: where do old threads go? From: Dead Horse Date: 09 Mar 04 - 10:46 AM Joe Offer downloads 'em all on to floppy discs. He then uses those discs as building blocks to construct a series of 3 storey condo's in Florida for his old age. So keep posting, folks.............. |

Sell Kodak...NOW...their wave-of-the-future.....is the material currently stored in the Bat cave.....which has lately become the past of Xerox and their 8inch insertable.

From: Wilfried Schaum Date: 10 Mar 04 - 03:10 AM It's always McG of H who gives the best tips, and a shock in the morning: The youngest thread found in the Wayback Archive, of June 03, 2003, goes: The Mudcat is down. We hope to be back no later than June 10th. If any of the organizations whose membership uses our site on a regular basis came up with grants as requested, we could have avoided this outage.
