Lay Me Down in Nickle (or Nichol) Cavern, where a fair many men have gone...

Is part of a soundtrack about 7th Cav (US) but is not "Gary Owen" and am searching for a Name of tune so I can find in US WAV Format

I'm having no luck with this. Can you give any more clues? The name of the film? Was it a documentary? Was it fiction based on a true story? Can you name some actors that were in it? What events, characters, or places were depicted?

This song was on soundtrack of Gibsons "we were soldiers" about LZ X-ray; from book "We were Soldiers once, And Young" Sounds as if a Scots or Irish ballad. But, it is not unit song, "Gary Owen."
