It has shades of 'The Green Grassy slopes of the Boyne' and the related Forces tune 'Platoon'.

The melody for the verse is the same as for "If You're Happy and You Know It, Clap Your Hands" and I know the chorus is just as familiar, but I can't put my finger on it:

The verses, of course, go:

Oh, this is number one, number one;
Oh, this is number one, number one;
Oh, this is number one and the fun has just begun,
Roll me over, lay me down, and do it again.

and so on. --seed

Oh, there's a lot of variations out there on the words/tune. The one I know has these words:
This is number one and it's really lots of fun,
Roll me over, lay me down and do it again (do it again)
Roll me over in the clover,
Roll me over, lay me down and do it again (do it again)
That do?

well, I can post it here in Alan's conversion program style (ABC and MIDI), and/or email you a MIDI file. What's your pleasure?
Blessings,
Barbara
