I believe the song's actual title is 'One Hand On The Radio' and it was written by Bill Caddick/Pete Bond.

It IS well sung indeed - But sadly we have another example of crediting a song to whoever has recorded it , rather than who wrote it .
Is it usually a case of insufficient info on the Recotd sleeve ?

On the page that links to the song being sung by AF, in the first paragraph, Caddick and Bond are credited as the writers, Leadfingers. Is that what you meant?

I see lots of that--songs mis or not at all attributed--when I look for lyrics. Seems it's pandemic. Likely the result of

1) ignorance
2) sloppy practices
3) lyric websites built to make a buck
4) people who don't care

Pete Bond sang this at Frodsham folk club a few months ago. It's good to see him doing the clubs again albeit on a not very regular basis. We've got him booked at the Room at the Top folk club at the Red Lion pub in Newburgh, Lancashire on Feb 6th next year (4 miles from M6 J27 - follow A5209 Parbold Tel [phone] for more details)

Crediting the singer rather than the writer is very common in pop music. People seem to think that the song was just lurking undiscovered, and only when a singer performed it did it spring into life. It's a strange attitude but I suppose we shouldn't be too surprised when it spills over into folk.
