I need some help. Reportedly, there exists a 5 volume set of CDs by Tom Waits called 'Tales From the Underground' from 1992. I have looked all over the web and can't find out how to get a copy. I heard a version of 'Buddy Can You Spare a Dime' by Tom Waits and as far as I can tell, the only place it's recorded is on vol. 4 of this set. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?
TonyK

I can't help but would like this set, if it still exists, so will keep an eye on the thread.

"Tales from the Underground" is a bootleg. There's a description here, but it's not mentioned at AMG - All Music Guide, which probably means it's not available through normal commercial channels.

The liner notes of the bootleg album say the cut "BROTHER CAN YOU SPARE A DIME?" was "taken from the various-artists compilation of the same name, recorded for the National Fund-Raising Day of Action 1992." However, apart from those liner notes (copies of which appear on several websites), I have been unable to find any confirmation that such an album or such an organization exists.
