People pay Google to put their little ads up. Max decided to let them put them here to help pay the rent.

As has been mentioned, clicking just to make money for the 'cat does cost the advertisers on a "per-click" basis, so we shouldn't just click them at random - if they're friends or ours; but sometimes you just can't resist when they're strangers (or just strange). It is intended to be helpful for us to have links to things suggested by the "content" here, and sometimes it actually is.

But the real question for CarolC is "are you one who has found the invisible clickies?"

This must have come up while I had very limited access to the internet when we were in Michigan for a few months, because I don't remember seeing a thread about it. I don't know anything about "invisible clickies". Enlighten me please?

Go to the bottom of any thread page, and "hover" your mouse over the white space about 10 lines or so below the "Forum Home" down below the "Submit Message" box. Watch the tool bar (at the bottom in IE) where it shows the URL for a link, and you'll find that there is, indeed, an "invisible" clicky down there - leading to a quite handsome picture of Max and a few associates.

Apparently he's had to take a day job to support us.

Ha! That's great! I found it. I followed WYSIWYG's suggestion in the other thread to do a "find in page" search for "emm". If you do that, the link becomes visible.

Actually I found it the first time while doing a "view source" to try to find one of my frequent "posting errors." It's not really "invisible," just "white on white."

If you click and "drag" the mouse over it so that it's selected, it changes color and gets visible - sort of like reading the fine print that a few people think is "cute." But that's too easy.

i have found that messages (by a CERTAIN someone) that
are YELLOW can be read by highlighintg them...
but i never imagined there were invisible messages

Don't know about it being the photographer, the two at the back look as if they've been digitally added anyway.
