Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: Morticia Date: 02 Apr 04 - 12:34 PM so have the phone lines......just heard that people have been trying, sometimes more than a thousand calls and still not got through. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: Nigel Parsons Date: 02 Apr 04 - 12:41 PM Glastonbury Tickets Seems demand outstrips supply! Nigel |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: GUEST,earthling Date: 02 Apr 04 - 03:56 PM Keep trying online........if you get as far as the submit details button then do so..it all went blank after that for me, but on checking my email the tickets had been sold to us. Good Luck |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: GUEST,earthling Date: 02 Apr 04 - 06:17 PM They've sold out now.....115,000 tickets in 24 hours. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: Sorcha Date: 02 Apr 04 - 06:50 PM And, just what is this? For us Yoosers? (USers) |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: The Unicorn Man Date: 03 Apr 04 - 04:52 AM Nope, and they are all sold out. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: JudeL Date: 03 Apr 04 - 06:32 AM Glastonbury is a very big open air festival of live music. Here's a link to the official festival site |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: the lemonade lady Date: 03 Apr 04 - 08:28 AM I have been accepted to sell lemonade but at £1,000 for a pitch fee I tore up the acceptance form! I've been trying to get into Glastonbury to trade for 7 years and now I find out I can't afford to be there anyway! Sal |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: The Unicorn Man Date: 03 Apr 04 - 09:19 AM But you would only need to sell 500 glasses, sorry paper cups of lemonade at £2.00 each to break even, then you can sit back relax and enjoy the rest of the festival. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: the lemonade lady Date: 13 Apr 04 - 12:27 PM I wouldn't dream of charging my customers £2.00 per cup! The competition (I won't name them) charge all sorts of extortionate prices for the 'lemonade'. I charge a reasonable price for parents who want to buy a drink for their kids that isn't a warm can of fizzy additives and colouring. I believe in being fair to my customers. I was going to be positioned in the children's area. I also want to be able to prevent the public from becoming dehydrated on a hot day and I think £2.00 is too expensive. #8-) Sal |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: The Unicorn Man Date: 13 Apr 04 - 12:36 PM Well in that case you will have to sell 1000 cups at a pound each. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: Sooz Date: 13 Apr 04 - 12:44 PM Good for you, Sal. Lets hope Folk Festivals don't get like that. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: open mike Date: 13 Apr 04 - 05:50 PM this must benear the Glastonbuty Tor, which is a spiral path labyrinth which winds up a hill...so if you do not get to go to the festival (hard to imagine over 100,000 will be there!!) you might get to walk the path.... |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: vectis Date: 13 Apr 04 - 06:24 PM My son got his ticket after 5 hours on line. All but one of his friends did too. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: GUEST,earthling Date: 13 Apr 04 - 06:55 PM Vectis...if your son's ticketless friend has no luck, then the plastic wristbands do have a bit of give in them, and with a touch of gentle persuasion and a disposable lighter they can be eased over your wrist and niftily placed on someone elses wrist. So if they are planning to plot up for the weekend then they should all be able to come and go....Just not at the same time, but time back at the tent/van is always a welcome break too. Put kettle on. |
Subject: RE: Glastonbury tickets - anyone successful? From: GUEST,BIG ANDY Date: 14 Apr 04 - 06:29 PM Sorry to say but the proper Glastonbury has long been dead and gone. But go on the levellers website and have a look at the beautiful days weekend and just having seen them what a band. I think it coast's about £65 to £70 quid for the weekend |
