I hope somebody can help me. I was asked by the friends of the environment if I knew of a morris team that would dance at their fundraiser on the 1st of May. They asked me about 2 months ago, I made some enquiries and had to tell them what I already suspected - all teams were booked up(its only the busiest weekend for morris in the whole year) So I agreed to teach a group of people from a local pub a couple of dances to do at said event. No mean task as none of them had ever danced before. Anyway to get to the crux of the problem, we desperately need musicians. The tunes are 100 pipers and oyster girl. I only need them for about 15 mins at 1 o'clock 1st may Thornhill, West Yorkshire. (And if poss 1 rehearsal on to suit them)
please please, somebody........

I'm sorry Pat, but I'm in the middle of the Eurogathering then. Any chance you can come over for any of it? You might ask Geoff Wright of Bracken Rigg, or Chris Stephenson if they can do your event. Even Bill might be persuaded, if he isn't over here.
