Subject: Ian Benzie, In Search of... From: Liam's Brother Date: 13 Apr 04 - 09:54 AM Hi! I'm trying to get in touch with Ian Benzie who wrote a song entitled, I believe, "A Wife in Every Port." Any help is much appreciated. All the best, Dan Milner |
Subject: RE: Ian Benzie, In Search of... From: GUEST,maryrrf Date: 13 Apr 04 - 10:21 AM I know Ian sometimes responds to messages on this forum. I'd like to know where to order his two solo CD's. Where are you, Ian??? Are you planning on touring anytime soon??? |
Subject: RE: Ian Benzie, In Search of... From: Murray MacLeod Date: 05 Mar 08 - 03:04 PM I am refreshing this thread to see if anybody can shed any light on Ian's whereabouts, and what he is up to since leaving Old Blind Dogs. My wife is a huge fan of Ian Benzie's singing and was ecstatic to find a couple of Youtube videos of the original Old Blind Dogs line-up. The Barnyards of Delgaty The Back o' Bennachie Surely Ian is far too young to have contemplated retirement ? |
Subject: RE: Ian Benzie, In Search of... From: katlaughing Date: 05 Mar 08 - 08:19 PM This sounds like a really great solo album he came out with in 2002: Click. There are a couple of threads titled after the song, one of which has the words, but you probably already knew that.:-) |
Subject: RE: Ian Benzie, In Search of... From: Maryrrf Date: 05 Mar 08 - 09:58 PM The last time he posted, I believe he said he was living in Swansea (or was it Cardiff) - anyway it was Wales. Hopefully he'll read this. I too am a fan and wish he'd make another CD. |
Subject: RE: Ian Benzie, In Search of... From: katlaughing Date: 05 Mar 08 - 10:29 PM With mary's clue, I found an email address which he posted in 2004: ianfbenzie@fireflyuk.net at the time, he said he was in "Clare's" in Switzerland. I guess that means Clare D. Harper, his partner? I couldn't find any more recent posting than that of 2004, but it may just be the search function not working completely well and/or my not giving it the right search parameters. Hope the email works, then.:-) |
