Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Jim Dixon Date: 15 Apr 04 - 06:36 PM One small criticism: The lit portion of the crescent moon should face toward the sun. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Bee-dubya-ell Date: 15 Apr 04 - 06:48 PM Hey! If Carl Hiaasen can have the visage of Jesus appear in the stain produced by a car with an oil leak, Don can find it in a Water Pic if he wants to! |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Donuel Date: 15 Apr 04 - 07:21 PM Don't ever clean your water pic with blue mouth wash. I didn;t follow up with water and it dried like glue. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Donuel Date: 15 Apr 04 - 07:41 PM I was curious which Christ certain people would see. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Peace Date: 15 Apr 04 - 07:46 PM Donuel, You are friggin' brilliant. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for posting the links on the 'cat. I find your images to be creative, intelligent and as with this one, breathtaking. Two hundred years ago you'd have been hanged as a warlock, because only from the mind of a wizard could such art come. I know you have a heckuva lotta fans, but please know also that you have one here in western Alberta. Bruce Murdoch |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Donuel Date: 15 Apr 04 - 07:58 PM Is Western Alberta as nice as BC. All I heard is that Calvery sucks. In that pic I used architecture instead of faces to show a continuem of middle east - western wars along with the cliche of blood in the water. The hidden stuff is for me but one day someone could make a career of finding things. What I have noticed is that people use a digital canvas to make stark realistic pictures or saturated fantasy themes but rarly do you see the real dream world which is where I usually am. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: GUEST,pdc Date: 16 Apr 04 - 01:22 AM Neuschwanstein castle in the middle, right? (I think I misspelled it, though.) |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Donuel Date: 16 Apr 04 - 01:54 AM Spelled correctly. I have two models of that castle. One I made and the other I bought. I have another one of the 2nd castle Mad Lucwig intended to build before his murder. Here it is in the background of a Steiner violin I "altered". http://www.angelfire.com/md2/customviolins/dev1.JPG |

Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: JennyO Date: 16 Apr 04 - 02:31 AM It's a lovely picture Don, but I can't find him either. Can you give us a clue - left, right, up, down??? |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: dianavan Date: 16 Apr 04 - 02:42 AM First I saw the eye (to the left) then the mouth and then the other eye. I wondered why I felt sick to my stomach and then I remembered a movie where the sea turned red from blood. I felt sick then, too. Something about red water that really does me in. I felt the same way when I saw snakes swimming in the sea. Odd, the way some things hit you at a gut level but you can't figure out why it has such a strong effect on you. By the way, I'm not afraid of blood or snakes. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: GUEST Date: 16 Apr 04 - 06:57 AM Now I see him in the second picture, in the middle, a small nativity set with the shepards and wisemen in adoration of a seated Mary with child. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: GUEST Date: 16 Apr 04 - 07:03 AM First picture, you can see his eye just a little left of center |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: mack/misophist Date: 16 Apr 04 - 11:31 AM I don't see him either. On the other hand, I don't care. Nice picture, though. Is that Hagia Sophia? |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Megan L Date: 16 Apr 04 - 01:31 PM ok time for me to go see quack or did you mean me to see an african and che guevara |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Giac Date: 16 Apr 04 - 05:09 PM I see the "African" too, and Aslan and a manatee, and ... . But, I really don't know what Christ looks like anyhow, so not sure I'd recognize an image of Him. Pretty picture, though. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: Once Famous Date: 16 Apr 04 - 05:24 PM I know what Christ looks like, my Uncle Seymore and I don't see him in this picture. I do see a cheeseburger and an order of fries in it, though. |
Subject: RE: BS: Christ in the water pic From: GUEST,earthling Date: 16 Apr 04 - 06:51 PM I see a crucifixion in the bottom right hand corner. And a face of a wistful ten year old boy, at the top in the middle. |
