Does any one know the lyrics to a '60s song called "The Master Builder?"

I found it on a little folk song book I bought in '69, which I've now lost.......the first few lines went:

I am a Master Builder from a little country town And an architect/surveyor from the GLC came down

etc etc

Can anyone help?

Ta. - Graeme

Sorry, Graeme, no real response but only an association.

Your request reminded me the song John Muir and the master builder from Brian McNeill. Go there, all of you, listen to it, and if you like it, buy Brian's CD "The Back o' the North Wind", which I consider one of my top buys of the last decade.

Wolfgang - I couldn't agree with you more, but it's obviously not the song Graeme is looking for, of which I've never heard. Sorry, Graeme! - Susanne

Well Suzanne and Wolfgang - it looks lie I've struck unlucky with that one. Shame really - it was a funny little song. Actually I originally got it from a book - called "Folk Songs Today No. 3", published in 1968 by EFDS. I've lost that one but still have the first two....... If any Mudcatters have a copy I'd appreciate knowing!

Cheers, all

G
