Subject: Lyr Add: New lyrics to OLD PLANK ROAD From: SmokinBill Date: 18 Apr 04 - 12:22 AM I've been reading all the past threads about Uncle Dave Macon, looking for more verses to "Old Plank Road," and I thought I'd post some new ones of mine for anybody interested in this sort of thing. I'm a caffeine junkie, Need a cup real soon If I can't get some Maxwell House I might howl at the moon (Won't get drunk no more ... etc) My grandma she's Irish, Grandpa he's a Kraut, When they'd get to drinking, Lordy, you should hear them shout Catskills have some pretty girls, Adirondacks, too City girl wears too much black, Looks down her nose at you Anybody have any other good ones not alread in the DT or forum? Personally, I'm tired of the Chieftains doing collaboration after collaboration. I kind of liked the album with Sting and Mick Jagger on it, but enough's enough... Bill Smokin' Bill's Digital Depot |
