I saw photos on T.V I hope pictures like this will spread around so that people will start thinking with their conscious instead of their greed. I also heard that the Americans administration is afraid of such pictures being spread around and anti-war resentiment might rise again. I'm fully aware that many innocent Iraqi civilians are being injured and killed by US bombs, and that's horrific. Honestly, thoughts like this plague me every day... I do not consider myself truly pro- or anti-war, but that does not make me indifferent.
I would advise anyone in here especially young and sensitive members if you go to these sites, are aware you are going to see dead people of both sides.

I find it ... interesting to say the least that they went in to find weapons of mass destruction and here we are a YEAR on, with not one found. But there has been plenty of the following:

-Friendly Fire
-Helicopter Crashes
-Helicopters that dont work when its cloudy/foggy
-Civilians deaths.

in fact i would go so far as to say there have been the same number of civilian casualties than "enemies"
Theres no excuse for the stupidity of Bush and Blair and i wonder how they would like it if their family were blown apart by a bomb while they sit in comfort protected by a private army, and sending out the common man to do their dirty work.

People in iraq are poor and struggle to make a living, but america, england, etc all have more than enough money to help these countries.
Instead we will pay £300 for a pair of jeans. its ridiculous

what would you say to a full color, commerative family portrait?
   we have to remain objective in these times of war and only getting by.
   shake your pom poms!
   until we are afforded respect from the *powers that be* - all we can do is be vocal. I think we all have open eyes, but just waiting to find a way to express ourselves.
   Tony Blair and Bush are seemingly "joined at the hip" - so we need to stand up for our children, and be intelligibly vocal. Refraining from blatent insults, but appealing to the politicians is our best bet, Even if it means confusing "double speak". The ends justify the means.
   Oh sure, our eyes are open - what do we do about it???

As for your posture of being neither for nor against the war, what kind of person do you see yourself as that can stand for such events int he world and maintain neutrality?

Kendall here.    Bush ordered the press to not take pictures of the returning dead service people. Someone in his gang remembered that those photos of the dead from Vietnam was what turned the people of the US against the war, and he knows that it would happen again if we could see our people coming home in body bags.

The Bush League will be walking a fine line until elections. They must seem to be simultaniously:

..winning the "war", but saving the Iraquis for democracy;

..bringing our troops back as soon as possible, while sneaking home the wounded hoping no one will notice;

..keeping the folks at home afraid of terrorists, yet more secure about their jobs, their health and education services.

Somehow Americans must be manipulated into emotional swings on a daily basis, and I no longer have much faith to believe enough of them are capable of either seeing through, or holding out against such constant bombardments.

The "war" is really against US..xx..e
