Yon Breezy chap refers to Duncan McFarlane of course - not Duncan Scott mentioned in the post immediately above his.

and later in the year Duncan will be playing St Albans

Great sounding band, rave reviews.

Ron Truman-Border has already been, he's good

Hamish is an endangered species and he's been too

I posted elsewhere (but with no response) whether anyone knew if the Daventry based band "The Occasional Few" were still performing -
perhaps the Raunds people will know? They were Maggie and Duncan Scott, John Galsworthy and Peter Gadd.....For my sins I lived in Rushden for a number of years, early 70s...

Oddly enough, on LJE's official website it still lists their mega summer tour dates (only three of them - is that significant?) as including Raunds. Bit shabby. No reflection on Raunds which with the bands listed above, plus Martin Simpson, Bill Jones and a decent "etc." looks like being A Jolly Good Show.

This, from the festival website....
'Sadly due to circumstances beyond the festival organisers control, Little Johnny England will no longer be playing on Saturday Night at the Raunds Music Festival. In view of this late change brought to the organisers attention on Thursday the 15th April we have altered the line up for Saturday night.

The line up for Saturday night will now be:
Doughboy Zydecajun
Magic Carr
The Duncan McFarlane Band

We feel this is an excellent line up of high quality folk and roots music from across the UK and further a field that will make for a fantastic night out at the Raunds Music Festival. Information on the three bands can be found on the website.'
(which is on the first post of this thread)

Is that Raunds as in the Rushden area?

I understand Little Johnny England are unfortunately not able to perform as advertised.
Up and coming six piece folk-rock outfit - The Duncan McFarlane Band - will deputise.
They cook up a mighty brew with striking arrrangements of trad songs and their own trad-influenced originals.
