I'm looking for someone to either teach or play with me on the fiddle , who lives nearby - I live in Battersea. I'm also happy just to jam with other instruments ; anything to get used to playing with others .

Try going along to Court Sessions one Friday, which takes place at St. Boniface Social Club, Mitcham Road, Tooting, SW17. There are a number of fiddlers there, and I know that the husband of one of them teaches fiddle. Or you could try Pete Cooper, although I think he's based in North London. Anyway, the Court Sessions crowd will be able to advise. It's a good club too.

There is an excellent little publication called FiddleOn packed with all sorts of fiddle related information, interviews with top fiddlers, details of fiddle teachers etc etc. You can subscribe to it for only £4.50 for 3 copies a year, which is a bargain
