Duncan

The film is black & white, not he XP2 that can go through a colour processor, thus you need a proper developer. I would recommend 7 x 5 prints as a minimum to ensure you can see what is possible with the negatives

Cheers

Raggy

Top Banana playing on Saturday by the Duncan McFarlane band, they were brilliant, full of vitality, seemingly note perfect and obviously having a great time themselves, destined for top billing at a major festival near you I think !

Martin (first) Having trouble logging on as me again - so PM-ing you not possible the noo. This local education network I'm on presents all sorts of headaches!
Will try from home (if I ever get there!)

I'm guest at Breezy's, St Albans, on Oct 22nd - and guest at Bishops Stortford club the night before.
If it's any use, I'm also at Oxford FC on June 25th accompanying Australia's Margaret Walters on a wee tour - sadly, she's not working with John Warner at present. But she's in fine voice - and a great new CD out!

Really like the idea that you go to clubs with both parents!
Is that a new admission policy? Certainly rules us of a certain age out!

Now 'Concerned of Huddersfield' - sad name - why the worry?
Glad we cheered you up with the leccie outfit - positive feedback is grand. I did get a bit of moaning from some that follow my solo acoustic set - they weren't so keen on the noisier version! The only downside to keeping two opposing 'versions' on the go - ah well.
Which festival were you refering to - and when you say 'near you' - who's the 'you'? Me? Or Martin in the previous post?
Hugs all round - DMcF

Damn - thought that was two Catters that liked it!
Aye, Rag me lad - and I ought to slip you some cash for the film roll!
Or will beer do at the next fest I run into you at?
Clecky? Saddleworth? Walton? Otley - surely!
Must shake your hand.

Duncan

I'm sure there were lots of people who thought the gig went well, judging from the smiling faces as people left the venue they were either pleased with the band or glad to get out !

As for festivals, Clecky for certain, don't think we're going to Saddleworth, where's Walton (liverpool?) and Otley for certain again, A certain lady friend of mine(Christine, the fair lady Wombat)will be (shush say this quietly) 50 on the weekend of the festival.

Will be interested to hear the results from the film cos as I explained I was using a telescopic lens without a tripod and that tends to lead to camera shake and thus duff photographs, let me know how they come out and I can take criticism, if they're duff I need to know so that I definitely use the tripod in future

Cheers

Raggy

Walton Fest is in Essex - long way I know from the frozen North (you Hudders, me, Leeds ...but...
I believe there's Spiers & Boden, Witches of Elswick - loads of others - including Chumbawamba! - and our DMcF leccie mob as well as me getting a few spots solo.
It's a good 'un I hear. See ya somewhere then.

The "leccie set" was brilliant! And that's from someone who isn't particularly into English trad.

I now have THREE top folk rock bands:

FOS Brothers
Jiggerypippery (which probably isn't spelt correctly)
DMcFBand

OK, so I've just realised that this list has Irish, Scottish and English folk-rock.

So where is the Welsh folk rock?

All the best

Glad you liked it John. Mebbe Julie would like to 'have a go' wi' 'em sometime - guests positively encouraged!
The Blue Horses are Welsh (I believe - correct me someone?) - that fill the gap for you?

Their guests usually just vocalise rather than play - there's enough instrumentation going on - tho a ragtime feel on summat might not be a bad idea!
